So I was reading this last and decided to check my '98 - '2000. Nothing turned up in my '98's or 2000 BUT my second last '99 Lincoln was the type 2 variety http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/_Ty-2_Reverse_Cent_Varieties.htm so now what do I do with it?
Twiggs, First, post a picture here on the forum! Second, send the coin into PCGS for certification and grading! If you really found a 1999-P "Type 2 - Wide AM" Lincoln Cent, congrats, congrats and congrats again! I am sure that many here on Coin Talk, myself included, have looked through hundreds and even thousands of 1999-P Lincoln Cents for the elusive "Wide AM" Variety with no luck except for one other person that found one quite awhile back. Frank
WOW, i hope you really did find one!! I have seached thousands of Lincolns with no success. Good for you Twiggs!!!!!!!!!!
Yo Twiggs, Keep it, verify it then slab it if you must. Slabbing will cost a few bucks but if YOU KNOW it's legit you can always keep it for a raingy day. Course you could sell it and buy a lot of Canadian Nickels etc. Hmmmmmm????? clembo
I found one 1999 wide AM about a year ago (see avatar). I sent it to ANACS and it came back MS-65. In my roll searches I've also found two 1998 wide AM's and three 2000 wide AM's.
