98 Quarter ,something besides PMD ?

    The reverse has two areas that I can see at least parts of letters beneath the damage. Thought I would ask the experts. Just PMD or do I have something. Thanks !

    I have a doctor's appointment to check my x-ray vision today. All I see is the post-mint damage on top of the letters.

    Looks to me like someone was taking up welding with money again. The pitting in the damage areas and a melted look is what I am seeing.

    Even if it was a rare doubled die, the damage to the coin would render it worthless.
