I know these aren't the clearest of pictures but you should be able to make out what's going on. I believe these die chips located in LIBERTY are what are referred to as "BIE errors." In the first coin, however, there's also an error on the anvil die, a die crack (see closeup), which isn't apparent on the second coin (closeup omitted, you'll just have to trust me on that one). So, the first coin is an error on both dies simultaneously while the second coin is only an error on the hammer die.
