94p Nickel spike thru the head

hey guys found this 94 nick in my change today
it has wut looks like a spike thru the head i dont kno wut it is also its missing letters from Monticello on the rev and the ear is missing the letter W has has something that looks like a chip i think looks pretty cool to me let me kno wut you think

Something is different about this -
although the close up of the date
area certainly looks like a lamination,
it might just be due to the photography.

Based on the full size photo of the obverse,
it looks more like a split die than a lamination.

I think the 'lamination' look is just the lighting/angle,
maybe. The full photo doesn't look like any lamination
I'm familiar with.
