Imho, nope. Not seeing it. Your looking for a close am92. Your coin was not stamped with two different dies. It is just a worn zincoln. Sorry. Looks more like md.
I'm a specialist.. 34 years There is only a Wide AM and only a Close AM.. There is no Wide AM over Close AM.. Show me where it states that and where they are selling it
I want to help.. I can help. Coin collecting is supposed to be fun. I never have said that I know it all. But I know enough to try my best to help beginners.
Ive been collecting since 1995, but I accept opinions, you seem to prejudge, without clearly stating what you meant. the person in my opinion was looking for info on close or wide, and they added over on accident, a common thing.
Its the same in real life, you ask one question, and everybody has a different opinion, people tend to look for the flaws in their wording instead of helping. I did stop collecting through a divorce, it made me so sick to sell my collection, I dident buy another for 10 years through the 2000s
Paddy I certainly don't know it all, but some things ive done allot of research on, and some things, I value the opinion of others. I collect mainly modern coinage because its affordable, and I know enough about values to shop informed.
I understand. I'm divorced also. Stopped for a few years. Lost many coins.. Seriously Got back into Mint Errors about 8 years ago!
What Paddy said in post #6. To have a Wide AM over a Close AM would require 2 sets of dies to make that coin. I don't think that's possible. It would have to be struck first with the Close AM reverse die, and then again, perfectly lined up with the Wide AM reverse die. At the speed these machines work that can't be done. A person who had access to the dies, I guess could make one by hand. But I think that would be illegal.
Thanks. He actually stated that it was in error in how he stated the title. I later understood. He knows the difference
