Just came back from the store and found these beauties. May not be valuable, but I love them.

Sorry can't take pictures so I made a graphic to show the damage.

    Thoughts??

    First is a 2006 Nevada State 25c.
Half of the T in liberty is missing. Does not appear to be rubbed off, appears to be a strike obstruction. There is a very light shadow where bottom of "T" should have been.

    Second is a 2004 Dime.
On reverse, very prominent crack in the "N" of ONE DIME. Also appears to be minting problem as the rest of the reverse is untouched. Not even a scratch.

I'm no expert, but the quarter is probably caused by a design element that was filled with grease or 'goop', causing a portion of the design to not show on a part of the coin. It probably does have any added value

The second seems to be a minor die crack or possibly die break. These are fairly common aswell, so also not worth a premium, if that's what it is.

All in all, you could do worse for your first pocket change finds. And numismatic value means nothing if you like your coins. I know I keep some worthless stuff, but I like it, so it's all good.

Also, as a side note, don't forget to check your bills! They can have errors too, aswell as serial numbers that make them unique and valuable in some cases. You'll have to look up some more info on those, as I am even less expirienced in that field. I do know that the main thing to look for are errors, of course, and serial numbers that are unique, in whatever way. Numbers that are all the same (5555555555), star notes (a star after the serial number), 'radar' notes (notes that read the same backwards and forwards, like 514404415), serial numbers in numerical order (12345678), and both low and high serial numbers. Anything that seems strange.

But, as just about anyone will tell you, the most important thing is to have fun, and maybe make some money on the way!

I know they aren't worth anything, except to the right collector and myself of course.

But, they are both VERY nice examples. Would rate them both very high AU.
