I was on my way to drop off some of my coin roll hunting returns at my drop bank when I decided to stop in my primary bank for last minute grabs. As I walked in, I stopped to organize my backpack and someone slipped in front of me with a small child. As I waited just a few feet behind the gentleman I heard him ask if they had any half dollars (OH NO! :shock and the teller responded that she had two she could give him. I thought to myself (and out loud, apparently) "You beat me to it! I was going to ask about them". Apparently the guy heard me and said I could take them instead. When I got to the teller, she handed me the two halves....one of which is below. 90% silver 1964 Kennedy for 50 cents? Sure! I probably should have given the other one to the kid.... FOR SHAME!
Around me getting halves is hard. Most of time I'm shot down, but every once in awhile it's worth it. This week I got 4 90% and 2 40%. That not counting the Silve Eisenhower I got yesterday. This has been a happy time, but soon I'll have to pay my taxes so I'm going to have to hold off for awhile.
