Well a friend sent this to me, I said: I think it is gold platted and a personal memorial stamped into it or something. The extra dates are incuse. Looking at the reverse from the picture he sent I was thinking some letters are doubled in AMERICA. This all by phone because I am on the go, be home soon. What you guys think, did I give the right info? I didn't mention the possible dbld. Thanks all!!!!
I have 3 of those that are plated in silver but have the same dates stamped on them...Not sure why they are stamped with those dates.

Strange coincidence, I found one, a 1986 gold plated 1960-1985 half in a roll just a few weeks ago, I guess they made a lot of them and they are fairly common. Wow according to the newspaper article, They are plated in GENUINE 24K GOLD! Impressive!
