'79 Proof Type 2 Lincoln

Greetings ...recently picked this up. A nice Type 2...This is the first slab I've seen with the 'Cl.S' designation instead of 'Type 2'....Anybody know when NGC started using the 'Type 2' designation?...

I've never seen it either. Is it definitely a type 2? Not all clear S mintmarks are type 2.

 

Yes. it's definitely a clear S....haven't had time to get a close up....Just hoping NGC was on their game that day...

 

Mine states Type 2. Your's is the first I've seen marked like that.
