i couldn't find info on any 73 ddr's, anyone care to give an opinion on this one. i would appreciate it. I'm looking at the lower letters where i drew on the lines. at last min. i also noticed a little on the bottom feathers, didn't seem common to others i have. thanks to all who commented on other questions.
What you see is machine doubling which is typically "flat and shelf-like". It is fairly common to all denominations and is not worth a premium. Chris
Thanks Chris, i had a feeling that was going to be the response i would get. so how can you determine the difference? i've really been struggling to determine, i would like to be able to know and not bother posting pics for help. Thanks.
The CherryPicker's Guide to Die Varieties has a great section in the appendix about the different types of doubling - and how to tell a doubled die from mechanical/ejection doubling. It's a great book to begin with, but it's especially important for beginning die variety collectors.
