Oh, it's a DDO, alright. Again, can't make out which one, on coppercoins.com. You'd think they'd have more pictures, there, if they had actually seen these things. Anyway, need some help identifying this one, too. Thanks.
Thanks, guys! This is my very first DDO ever from circulation. BTW, I also figured out how to access those additional pictures on coppercoins.com. Just never knew those were there. Now they're talking! :thumb:
Nice find, it sure feels good when you find one like that when searching. Also glad you found the info on coppercoins, it is a great site and I use it often to check lincolns that i find in roll searching. Bill
The prices for the "other" 1972 DDO are escalating, and just a few minutes ago one of my watched die #8, PCGS MS64 went for $294 with 10 bidders. I wasn't bidding, just watching. Jim
Thanks you guys. Jim, well then the next one I find will just have to be in 64, that's all there is to it.
Hey Jim, Do you have any information on the POP for the 1995-P DDO #2? They are extremely scarce and I was hedging on whether to put mine on eBay or not! Thanks...Frank
No, I dont Frank. To be honest, I haven't looked for one. I think ebay completed auction searches gives a good idea. It seems that many would like to have one, but the sellers often don't really know if its a 2,3???, so raw ones are much less expensive if the buyer can tell which it is. 2,3,and 8 occur most often after 1 of course. I see more 8s than 2s. Jim
Jim, Are you referring to the 1972-P DDO #2?? I was asking about the 1995-P "DDO #2" Lincoln Cent! As far as I know, there are only two DDO Varities for the 1995-P, the Die #1 and the Die #2. I have checked eBay and have never seen any of these in the Current Auctions or Completed Auctions. Frank
DUh, sorry, I just continued on! No, I haven't either. The only photo I have seen is on coppercoins.com and it looks very hard to detect casually ! I am still looking for my 1995-D (3-0-V). Jim
Jim, Thanks anyways! I kind of figured that with so few of them available, obtaining a POP would be tough. I do believe that the values on the Coppercoins website are way too low for this Variety which is probably 1,000 times more rare than the 1995-P DDO #1! I just wonder if it would be worth getting it certified and graded??!! Frank
Frank, approximately what grade is it? I think personally I would wait a while, but I would just be guessing. Even though it is much rarer, visual impact seems to have a lot to determine the values of a particular variety. Have any extra 1995-D DDO? :smile Jim
