All of the Buffalo's I had before today were well circulated. What got this started was I had seen an auction on ebay but missed the end of it from a CT member tdec1000 (brilliantcents on ebay). I was bummed because they were some nice looking coins and they closed at a very reasonable price. I contacted him and he sold me some others he had from the same group ~ again at a very reasonable price. I didn't know what they would look like until I received them and am not at all disappointed! They are all attractively toned and none have any hits that are distracting. There is a little wear on all of them but I don't think any would go below XF. Hope you like the pictures and comments are always welcome! Best Regards ~ Darryl
Nice Buffy's. I was shocked when I pulled an AU out of a roll, ones with mint luster blow the well-worn examples away.
Thank you, me too! The hue is somewhere between green and gold with the reverse of one being closer to slate grey. My photo skills with toning are about as bad as they get.
I wish I was around to collect some of these when they were still common and with lots of luster! Now I am happy to find a very worn example but will really enjoy these! Thank you!
I like them all Darryl. A nice addition to your collection. The Buffalos are one of only a few series of 20th century U.S. coins that I like. I just came across two in change today, both dateless but still cool to find in circulation. Yours are much nicer than mine. Congrats. Bruce
Nice buffs! I'm nearly done with 3 separate coin sets (need 3 or less each for Jeffersons, Ikes and Franklins all in BU). When I finish I'm gonna start a nice VF-XF buffalo set. Thanks for sharing!
