    Yes.. it is a Six Pence from Britain.

    I believe there are 100 pence in a pound and a British Pound is about 1.55 US. making your 6 pence worth just under 10 cents

    In pre-decimal ways of counting, there were 12 pence to the shilling and 10 shilling to the pound, so 120 pennys to the Pound, but these coins are obsolete, (demonetized) and are not really worth anything.
