When You have 2 o more coins with the same alterations. It's No coming from The Die tself? Many of You will see these like XTRA-MAT. But all those Islands on the Chest of MR Jeffi are coming from some where. Thank for your opinion.
I'm not sure how much these are worth, but they could be pretty tough varieties. Also, did you know there are also a few Kennedy halves with missing FG?
this is caused to be this way because of a coin die that had chipped places on it. every coin the die strikes after it got damaged will be the same as these. die chips is more common on our newer coins that the older ones and usually don't sell for a big price unless a die chip is really large. but in this case one of the die chips took out one of the designers initals so maybe this will make the coins worth a little more.
Hmmm...I have found that die chips are more common on older coins...you can find them by the tens of dozens or more searching wheat cents, but I have only found a handful on post-1982 cents.
I wasn't talking just about cent coins. non cents try getting you some new rolls of quarters, nickels and dimes and you will soon see what I'm saying is true. it is hard to find very many new coins that don't have a minting problem with them.
Thank every body for your opinion. at this point IT'S VERY CLEAR, Die chips and Xtra Material. are two different kind of alterations in a coin. In this Nickel case it's Die Chips. Any way, I still investigating if that SHAPE came from other coin o was simply circumstance. Thank again.
