'55 Lincoln: Die Deterioration or Machine Doubling?

  1. As I was looking through my wheats I noticed this one:

    Jallengomez, can't you see it? I see it Fine, Very Fine, no, more like Extra Fine. It's either your seeing ability is Poor, or I am seeing things. :D

    Now I see it. Must have been my eyes. :D

    It's die deterioration doubling. What you have is an example of the famous(infamous) "poor man's double die." that was made popular back in the day. They still fetch a couple of bucks on Ebay.
