Here is a 1917 50 Cent Piece w/King George V and an 1882 Cent featuring Queen Victoria. The neat thing is check out the die clash on the queen. Looks like somebody went UPSIDE her head with a big E. This seems pretty unusual for canadian coinage.

Alas, I't's been pointed out that my mind was in the seat of my pants on this one. It cannot be a die-clash as the cheek/neck is the LAST place the clash would show up.

Must be all that White Lightein' I drank that came in the Brown Paper Bag, LOL. :D   :D

Bone, from what I see, that 1c. has been struck so hard that the reverse details can be seen on the obverse, which is why the ghosting appears.

That's a very nice silver 50c. there. The King George V issues are becoming very difficult to find.I was lucky in getting an example of the 1929,which is one of the hardest key dates to find.

Actually that E is exactly opposite where it would be on the reverse; suggests to me it's a genuine die clash, or at least that it could be. Can see the date bleeding through too.

Troodon,it isn't a die clash. It is a very interesting strike through variety though. If someone offered me a British Commonwealth strike through coin like that one,I'd gladly buy it.

I have an 1888 one cent like that, so I studied the reverse against your picture. The 'v' shape on her neck is definitely the 'N' coming through.

I also have that George, though mine is more worn looking

Twiggs, which of the King George V Canadian 50c. coins do you have? I know that you won't have the 1921,as that is THE rarest of all the Canadian silver 50c. coins.
