I recently came across a $500 dollar bill with a strange line on it. Would this line add any value to the bill? It's a nice looking bill and I know its worth $1000+. I'm just curious about that line.
If you mean the Line in the top margin, no, it does not impart any special value to the bill. It's just a reference mark for cutting the sheet into individual bills. If the sheet had been cut right on the line like it should have been, the top and bottom margins would be equal. The only time a bill cut out of spec would have any extra value is if the cut was made within the design itself.
