Hello, I'm new here. Years ago, I collected a roll of each state's quarter just for fun (all in circulation). Now I'm sitting with a very heavy bag of rolled coins. Any ideas on what to do with them? Should a break the open and look for anything in particular? I can't believe they would be worth anything, correct?
You can look on ebay to see what they sell for. You said you were new here, but your bio says you joined 11 years ago???
Are these the same as: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/50-rolls-of-state-quarters.192440/ ? The advice at the time was to deposit them. Probably the same now.
So, you have a rolls with 50 State Quarters + territories. Unless you absolutely have to have the money so your family can eat, I would put them in a drawer and forget them. Don't let your family know that you have them or put them somewhere they won't find them. Each roll has 50 pennies in them, times 50 states plus the territories... I can't remember how many territories and District of Columbia would be about $27.50. That will feed your family at McDonalds one meal. Best of luck to you and your family.
