Pictured is a 50¢ fractional note, fifth issue that I recently purchased (W-6667, F-1381). It's the first fractional note for my collection. Traditionally I have focused on collecting coins; only recently have I begun exploring and acquiring currency. Quite obviously, you will notice that the bottom right of the face appears to have been "trimmed". I am unsure if there was any purpose behind it, or if perhaps someone purposely trimmed the edge to remove some sort of imperfection or stain. Any comments and thoughts about the specimen are appreciated, as once again, it's been only recently that I have begun learning about and collecting notes! Thanks, kindly CheetahCats
You will find that most fractionals appear to be trimmed!! But usually They have not, They were cut by scissors from the mint and most Of the time you get that affect!!
