Guess that depends on what you paid for them, but as long as you are happy with your purchase then it was a good deal! Need better pictures to tell more, but assuming they are real you have about 5 oz of silver there, but the coins look old enough to have more numismmatic value then their melt value. Not familiar with the ferign' stuff :D But if the Trade Dollar is real it appears to have some luster to it, could be worth $200+ by itself.

So don't leave us hanging, tell us more about who/where you got them from. Individual pics of each coin would be helpful too...

$50 for the lot, awesome deal then. From a very sweet little old lady. I'll try and post individuals, front and backs.

I think you got taken. Based on those photos some of them appear to be cheap Chinese counterfeits. The Trade Dollar is almost certainly counterfeit.

    Please post individual photos.

These coin types are some of the most counterfeited, and yours look like they are included in that.Sorry

They may be silver though. The trade dollar should weigh 27.2 grams and measure 38.1 MM in diameter.

They may not be silver. Check them with a magnet. If they are attracted to the magnet they are not silver.

all but one attrected to the magnet. that one is also several grams heavier than the others. these will not go back out there i'll hold on to em after I go talk to the old lady and see if theres some sort of resolution that can be made. Back to paper for me. Thanks Again.

    RJK,

Your thread is similar to countless others we have had here over the years. Consider this a very inexpensive but valuable lesson.

That sweet little old lady is probably thinking the same thing.

I think the "sweet" little old lady was probably not so "sweet" and knew exactly what she was selling.
