When I used to CRH (that is, when I could find a bank to order rolls) I would find a random Buffalo or two per box. Maybe one silver. Lots of pre-1964. No 1950 D, 1939 D, 1939 S...but pretty much every other date. Which is why I would recommend Jefferson Nickels as a good starter set.

Apology is accepted if you read the rules all the way through. Some still don't know them. Welcome on your first day!

And I was trying to help both of you. Jake, read the rules, and don't let people lead you towards problems. Seriously!

Well, I've been doing awesome for a few months now with nickel rolls... though I must admit that it goes through cycles. I remember one batch of 25 rolls producing just TWO pre-60s...

The past 4 days I've gone through 121 rolls and have found 4 War Nickels and a Buffalo amongst 64 pre-60s... The goodies are still out there in the nickel universe, my friend! Just gotta be persistent.
