Is these watermarks shifted over far enough to be considered an error or not? All the 5's run down the center of the stars and the large number 5 runs into the design on the edge.
From Fred Bart's 4th Edition, United States Paper Money Errors "Watermark variations exist because the security feature, initiated with the series 1996 and later redesign FRN, is embedded while the paper stock still consists of greater than 50% water during production at Crane and Company. As the currency stock dries at the mill, slight variations in the appearance of the Presidents portrait , who appears in the watermark, are possible. Although interesting, these minor variations attract nearly zero interest from collectors. As these watermarks fall within normal quality control parameters, they do not technically qualify as errors." Personally, I like obvious, in-your-face errors that are easily detectable at first glance. I do not believe you have anything there @Sheila Ruley .
