2004 will see the US mint releasing a five Lincoln coin set. They will include a circulation quality and uncirculated mint set quality coins from Denver and Philly along with a proof cent from San Francisco. There will also be included a description of how these coins are minted. There is no limit to how many will be made, so value will not be much of an issue. It should be useful info though. No price has been released from the mint, or exactly when these sets will be made available. So for those of you that would like to see exactly what the difference is between uncirculated quality and the coins that come in mint sets, this will be a good thing.
Wonder how these sets will be packaged. I would like to see mint set type packaging rather than hard plastic like is used for the proof sets. Would allow for closer examination of all three types included in the set including the proof coin.
No specific info has been released yet. All I have been made aware of is the fact that they are doing it. I will post new info as I get it.
