I purchased the 46-s & 49-d dimes from ebay both are NGC certified - MS66 FT. However I am not seeing how these could be graded 66. To me they look more like 64.

1946-s: There is a little glare from the light. The picture doesnt due justice for the coin having nice luster and toning but it does! Price Paid $15.50 + $2.00 S/H

Here's a picture of the side of the holder on the 46-s. It appears that whoever had this coin either A. Dropped it or B. tried to tamper with it then chose not to (there is a little movement when I shake the holder).

The top picture shown looks like where the plastic is starting to come apart unless that is a glue. Also on the below picture where you notice the "teeth" or grooves there is a smooth spot. I looks like someone took knife and started to give it a nice shave sort of speaking. So I am wondering if I should keep it or take it back..

I don't know how they could give an accurate grade anyhow with all the distractions from the toning...

Those are very nice and the prices are even nicer. 1946S has different devices from my NGC MS66.

Notice how the 46 on yours begins to elevate whereas mine stays pretty level. The reverse is the big difference your mintmark is much closer and a little higher to the torch than the example here. The S even looks different all together.
