why not issue 42 photo of u.s. president on the paper money for collectors?. in this way, the b.e.p. will make some profit on it. like changing the face of 20 dollar note and replace it with washington and so on. four presidents a year. of course it should be a limited production for collectors. one dollar note will be the best. but it won't happened. what is your opinion?.
That could be a pain to produce actually-- it takes months to make new "dies" for paper money, but the idea is interesting. Though, with all the new coins being remade into series, it starting to get annoying.
paper commemorative the bep should copy from the u.s. mint. print more commemorative paper note. issue crisp unc paper note for the collectors. be very active like the way the u.s.mint did.
The B.E.P. can't create these willy nilly,as it is a U.S. federal government agency.Congress would have to pass a Bill to authorise this,which won't happen. Aidan.
I dont think its a good idea. JMHO. Its like lowering the flag to half staff at every sad happenstance. It kinda loses it's dignity. I mean it would circulate all over the world. Who wants to see LBJ on a sawbuck?
