my friend took me to chicago as a late bday present and i always make sure to look at the coin shops. picked out 4 that i could afford. the 1941 D walking liberty half looks typical in my pictures but it has a good strike with a lovely blue/orange/pink toning over most of the obverse and reverse. it was the last coin i bought before we left because when i saw it seemed like love at first sight. the 1945 S walking liberty half is PCGS MS65. the obverse is a dull mishmash of colors while the reverse speaks for itself. the 1880 S morgan is a PCGS MS64. it has a nice strike with a bit of rainbow toning on both sides. the 1814 classic head large cent is a S-295. it has mildly rough surfaces but the VF details more then make up what i payed for it. the 4 together costs 350. any comments and opinions are welcomed/appreciated.
it looks like maybe a little on the eagles breast but in general im just not seeing it. again it could be my photo. i still want to get a photo that shows off the toning better so ill see what i can do.
2 more tries. maybe its a bit of a more typical strike then i originally posted but i dont believe its worn.
My memory could be wrong, but as I recall the '41-D is not known for weak strikes. Going by that it is more likely that that is light wear where I have indicated and not the result of a weak strike. I am willing to be corrected if my memory is in error, but I don't have a book handy to look it up right now.
