Thanks pal. If it wasn't for you, there would be no pic. Just learning ya know.. This is a coin I picked up on eBay as the only bidder. It's in the mail now on the way here.
Hey thank you. I own 2 others and this one looked just as good or better so I grabbed it just by what the picture shows alone. I don't have it yet as it is in the giant USPS maze inching it's way across the country. I have no problem discussing what I paid for any of my coins. And I don't understand why someone would post a pic but not want to talk prices. :secret: Anyhow it was a total cost to me of $118.39 Now it should get here tomorrow.
Thanks all. One strategy for eBay that works for me is to watch certain coins that have no bids placed yet. I'm sure others do the same thing. When the auction has 2 minutes left to go I set up my minimum bid. Then after checking the facts and figures click it off. Bingo, you get a coin for the absolute lowest price.
'38D My Redbook and 20th Century Krause agree on mintage figures of '38 (P) 9,480,045 and '38S 2,832,000; with no mention of a '38D.
Trying to respond to the 38D thread by Victor in the numismatic resources section; don't have sufficient permission but perhaps it was mis-posted to that section in the first place? In any case, in response to Satootoko, you're looking at the mintage stats for washington quarters, not walking liberty half dollars (as pictured).
AgCollector: Thanks for the note, I was trying to post there and go the same message, I though that it was because I hadn't showered yet.
I'm not sure how that thread got posted there---I don't think that forum is open for posting....maybe Doug will move it to the right place. Speedy
