    What do you call the machines that some coin shops have... They touch the coin (even through a 2x2 or a slab) with a sensor and can tell if the coin is good or not?

    Whatever those testers are called (see this thread here for pictures), a guy at an LCS used one on this coin and the little black bar was not between the two lines, so he said it was fake.

    It’s called XRF scanner. Looking at the rims of your coin and its poor details it seems to be fake. I purchased an 1853 counterfeit dollar (on purpose) and it looks similar.
