    Hey everyone,

I am new to this site although not new to collecting. I have been saving circulated star notes over the past 11 years. I have just over $3100 in them. Ranging from $1 to $100, and every denomination in between.Edited~ B/S/T discussion only in the Classified subforum. Read the stickie there. I am trying to buy my girlfriend an engagement ring so I feel this is the time to sell.

    Thank you all very much.

Some collectors like these Star Notes. If you had more info on what you have it would help. List? Fancy Serial Number Star notes, low number Serial Numbers etc.

Sorry I was really just looking for information more than trying to sell. And im not spending ALL of it on the ring :) I have it broken down so far by year and face value, but I haven't even started looking at the serial numbers yet. There is just so many of them. I was just wondering if it would really even be worth my time.

Sean, well you have a good start. Now organize them by Year/District; there are some Year/District combinations that are $$ catchers. Don't worry too much about Serial #s right now, find out what you have by year/District; look 'em up in Friedberg to get a general idea of
"value"; then go trolling sales sites. Also, if you subscribe to any numismatic publications, check dealer ads, gives you an idea of what they think the notes are worth. Good luck.
P.S. my wife's engagement ring cost more than $3k back in 1988, so $3k is not bad at all.

Those in Crisp Uncirculated condition or low print Runs will sell for a premium. However, Common and Circulated stars are not sought by collectors.
