My mom's friend is also our neighbor and she saves all of her change and never spends it until the end of the year. She told me there was at least 300$ worth of change. I searched for 3 hours and I found no silver. I didn't come up empty handed though! Here are my results! Let me know what you think! I paid $2.50 for everything. I think it depends on where you live and how lucky you are. This week I've found 9 silver dimes and a silver quarter from rolls. I found two of those silver dimes in just twenty CWR rolls of dimes that I bought at a bank. A few months ago a family member of mine was given a silver dime as change. Silver dimes seem to be fairly common and easily found, at least out here.
I enjoy going through a good coin jar or roll searching during the winter months. Sometimes it is fun to look for Lincoln cent varieties which taks some time with magnification. Here is a Website that describes varieties: http://www.varietyvista.com/Doubled Dies.htm The next time you do a search & have new photos, post them in the roll searcher's section of CoinTalk. More people will probably see your post in that section.
