Is there such a thing as a 300 dollar bill printed around the 1920's or 30's I had someone tell me that they had one, I looked at some price guides and have never heard or seen any examples
I don't think so claw. http://www.treas.gov/education/faq/currency/denominations.shtml#q3 Oh wait!..here's one http://cgi.ebay.ca/Bowling-Perfect-...categoryZ20849QQcmdZViewItem#ebayphotohosting
Very funny MIKJO0. The guy I bought my truck from a month ago told me he found a $300 note in an antique he had bought. Well maybe he said $3. Anyways thats not good news Typical car salesman i guess!! lololololololololololo The jokes on me !! CLAW
There could have been. Back in the day countries printed everything from a half a cent to 100,000 dollar bills. But they are not really useful so they stopped. Makes a good collectors note for people like us. It could also possibly be a bank note such as eight dollar bank notes they printed long ago.
But if they had printed such a bill it would be recorded in someplace....and they didn't print everything...they didn't have a $550 bill.... Speedy
Something else you have to consider from the scant information that was given is that it might not be a US note. You will find that most noncollectors when describing non-US currency will still refer to them as being X number of "dollars" no matter what units the country uses. Especially if that country uses the $ sign for their unit as many of them do. And usally they will not bother to tell you what countryit was from either. Just that they found an "X dollar bill".
