As mentioned on a previous thread, I picked out some of the more promising bulk silver purchases from ~25 years ago to set aside some to put in flips. Here are the three Nikolai II 1 rouble coins from the set. With Russian stuff, I always worry a bit about fakes, so any advice welcomed. Left: 1896 * (Paris) 19.7 g 34 mm Center: 1897 ** (Brussels) 19.8 g 34 mm Right: 1898 АГ (St. Petersburg) 19.7 g 34 mm Do they all look plausible? Any guess on approximate grading? Thanks!
They look good to me. On the condition, from the best to worst, #2, #3, #1. I wouldn't know the grades to put on them.
They all look genuine to me. I could be wrong but I thought the technical weight is 20.0g? I don't have references with me. They could be worth $100 in a lot as such. Nice one!
Yeah, 20.0 g is the official weight I think. I don't know if 0.2 to 0.3 g of wear is plausible for these. I've seen wildly different estimates online as to how much weight a typical coin loses with light wear. I should probably check my scale calibration as well. Thanks.
