I have a collection of banknotes (and a few coins) with dragons on them; collecting by theme was inspired by many here (and dragons specifically by one member I forgot the name of; thanks to whoever that is!). Here's 3 new ones that arrived in the mail today:
    Dragonball Z, 1 million dollars, c. 2013

A lot of dragon notes I own are novelty and/or fantasy notes; this one is very colorful, and I love the dramatic depiction of the Eternal Dragon on the reverse.

    Vietnam, 5 dong, 1955

The phoenix is more featured here than the dragon, but there's a dragon in the background of the obverse, and also in the watermark.

    French Indochina, 500 piastres, 1944

The dragon on the reverse is a lot more abstract which makes it very interesting; also love the colors on it!

That's a neat collecting theme. I suspect there are quite a few more dragons available if you check around. One that crops up on the forum periodically is a German note, with absolutely a knock-out dragon.

You should take a look at notes from the Kingdom of Bhutan. The Royal Crest for the Kingdom contains dragons.

This might be of interest to you. These dragons are depicted on the "China" panel in the 1991 American Bank Note Archive Series. They were engraved in 1915 for the Ningpo Commercial Bank of Shanghai. Not sure whether they appeared on a banknote or some other type of security.

Have that one from Bhutan, and that one from Burma (Myanmar). As you can expect most of my "dragon collection" notes are from Asia but do have a few European ones in there too, and even one (arguably a dragon note, it's a representation of Quezalcoatl) from Mexico. Lately been picking up more from Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam and Laos, and trying to find a few more from French Indochina (which covered what is now Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos). Always more from China to get lol... don't think I'll ever run out of different note types from there. Find a lot of notgeld from Germany and Austria with dragons as well.

    This just arrived today:

    Macau, 50 patacas, 1999

Double dragon lol... have the festival dragon in the foreground (which looks kind of dog-like) with a colorful dragon in the background as well.

Not sure I've seen those specifically on any banknote I've seen, but they could have been used elsewhere, possibly on bonds or stock certificates, or they could be stock art that never got used. Are very nice looking. I have a lot of notes made by American Bank Note company and they've always done great work.
