Cool I still have two Merc's my Grandmother gave me when I was well about 40 years ago. Don't know how I managed to hang on to them this long, but I guess i will give them to one of my Grand kids one day. Thank God for Grand ma's. Kent
My grandmother use to give me silver dollars. Guess what, I still have them and they are worth a few pennies, but even better is where I got them, "Nanny".
yea she really waned to get me a steel penny because every time she talks about coins she alwys talks about them and how people always mistook them for dimes and quarters
Nice grandma. I remember back in the late 60's early 70's getting to search my grandma's pennies every week and we got to keep all the wheaties. That is where the coin collecting bug first became seated in me. I still have the book that we put together with the coins - one day I will finish it.
