3 blue pack Ike's, 3 different looks

    The recent threads on Ike's made me take mine out for a look.
    These three were in the official packaging and looked totally different. So, I removed and imaged them.
    1971 Still with full, deep lustre
    1973 What???????????
    1974 Dull, hardly any lustre
    All three packs have been stored in the same place in the same conditions

    Wasn't different packaging used for all three? I forget all the little stuff I used to know about useless facts that I would remember to impress somebody at one time or another.

    All of these three packs are identical, whether there are different types of sello used I have no idea

    looks like the 1973 has a strike through on reverse. Too bad it had to turn brown like that.

    Doesn't look like he's worried about the Military Industrial Complex in the slightest.

    For the four years, 1971-1974, the San Francisco Mint issued Uncirculated "Blue" Ikes (cello package in a blue envelope) and Proof "Brown" Ikes (encased in plastic in a brown box).

    I have two in cello packs with a blue chip stating authenticity. I'll have to find when i get gone.
