    Thanks to @1stSgt22 for that milestone. In honor of reaching that I’m posting another coin that I bought 7 years ago and didn’t opened until last week. It’s a 1909-D $5.00 gold Indian, a Half Eagle.

    Not exactly sure why it’s filled in as I wasn’t around in 1909. Lol. Obviously it’s quite different from the rest of the coin.

    I love the recessed Indians. The public didn’t as they felt the recessed areas retained germs and diseases. The $2.50 Indians are a short series that most collectors can actually afford to build an entire set. Naturally, there’s one coin that’s very high in price. Just save your money and the set is complete.
