Keep these threads going Alan. Excellent service you do for the collector. Normally I'd attend the Melville show but I expect to be out of town. Thanks for the reminder though..........:)

I'm going to try to go to the Kent Valley Coin Show in Washington this weekend. It will be my 3rd, but only 2nd different one (went to two monthly iterations of a local show previously).

Went to the Carteret Numismatic show and picked up some toned nickels for my album.

Two largest purchases were a 1914-D Barber and a 39-D Jefferson in gem condition with gold toning.

I did get to the Kent WA show and picked up about 10 coins, all foreign. Mostly British and Commonwealth coins, plus one Danish and one Swede. Also 2 old notes.

I attended the show in Livonia, MI yesterday. It was a small show and lightly attended according to the dealers I spoke with.

There were more raw coins in albums/displays than there were graded. That was interesting to me.

The only thing I bought was a book on Paper Money titled:

"Paper Money of the United States" 20th edition. by Arthur and Ira Friedberg.

I bought the hardback for $60. I saw where I could buy it on eBay for ~$55. Amazon has them new for $64 ish.

I plan to purchase some Paper Money in the future and wanted a reference book in my library.

    I hit the Melville show.

    Boring, nothing exciting.

One dealer had me overton 4 or 5 newps.

Nothing that I didn't have, all common
