2011 marks the 25th Edition of the Silver Eagle proof coins. The US mint had a Gold and Silver set to mark the 10th Anniversary and the 20th Anniversary was celebrated by a special three coin set with a unique Reverse Proof Silver Eagle.

The 25th Anniversary (no proof in 2009) is a Silver Anniversary, which I hope the US Mint celebrates especially since the Silver Eagle Proofs are probably more popular now then in 1986 when the 1st Proof Silver Eagle was minted.

The Mint has indicated that they will issue an Uncirculated Silver Eagle coin some time in 2011 (next 5 months), but have not indicated the Mint's desire to celebrate the 25th Edition of the Silver proof.

What are your thoughts about the Mint issuing a set or coin to celebrate the Silver Eagle?

I'll be just be happy indeed if they mint an Unc. W (collector version). Hasn't happened since '08.
