    Hi all,
Yesterday I was talking about collecting coins with a coworker electrician at my job. He mentioned to me that he had a weird looking Quarter and he thought it could be a Mint Error...
Today he brang it to show me. I had to give him the bad news and explained that it is PMD - Post Mint Damage
Looks like a Dryer Coin :yack:

Agree? I added a poll :wacky:

Thanks for the great photos of all three sides! It makes it so much easier to diagnose the "malady".

That one's been in the washer, the dryer,

I'd really like to know who it was that voted it as being a legit error. I've got a bunch of others I can sell!

At one time they did. In the 19th century coins returned to the Treasury were returned to the mint, cleaned, and reissued.

If it were a struck through grease error the rims would likely be reeded. PMD has my vote.
