Hi all, Yesterday I was talking about collecting coins with a coworker electrician at my job. He mentioned to me that he had a weird looking Quarter and he thought it could be a Mint Error... Today he brang it to show me. I had to give him the bad news and explained that it is PMD - Post Mint Damage Looks like a Dryer Coin Agree? I added a poll
@paddyman98 Thanks for the great photos of all three sides! It makes it so much easier to diagnose the "malady". Chris
I'd really like to know who it was that voted it as being a legit error. I've got a bunch of others I can sell! Chris
well, after your post I couldn't help myself and added to their vote. Lets hope I can sell him/her some errers.
At one time they did. In the 19th century coins returned to the Treasury were returned to the mint, cleaned, and reissued.
