So can anybody tell me more about this? What is this error called (if error is the right term) or is it just damage, what is the coin possibly valued at? It was pulled out of a quarter roll this afternoon, also the line on his nose, it appears to be embeded within the coin, it's not a pen or pencil mark, and I've rubbed it a few times, and won't lighten, is there anything you may know about a marking like this as well? Please tell me more if you can, is this worth selling or saving? Or is it just worth face value or less? Thank you all very much for your knowledge. :hatch: IMG_2925.JPG

    I strongly suspect post-mint damage.

At first glance it appears to be a defective planchet, with the outer cladding layer being incomplete, but if it had been that way when the coin was struck, there should be some design impression on the copper edge, instead of the striations that show clearly in the closeups, especially the top one.
