23 Mercury PMD ?

    Besides being cleaned :(

    It could've been soldered into something like a bracelet etc. By the edge pictures.

    Looks like it spent a lot of time in a home with heavy cigarette smoke. And a lot of damage to boot.

    She's an old gal.... to answer the op question ill need to pull out my 1960`s 8 ball. download.jpeg.jpg
    My best guess is a gas bubble, or a platchet error...there's a die crack coming off the void and under the E.
    That makes me think its a damage blank...Pryor to mintage. The two cracks from the die .
    But again I still playing with a 1960 toy!.....;)

    I agree. The metal is raised above the reeding in the side photo. It was soldered and then broken off.
