Sharply struck examples of struck thru grease. Design rim is very defined and boxy like, and the edge of the coin is thicker and a lot shiner then that of another 2023 (coin in the middle of third pic)
You see the shiner edge, thicker looking edge too and sharp design rim in shield cents that are minted very early around January February due to the dies being new and or just a higher then normal sticking pressure at first mintage.

The mint swaps in a new die whenever they need one. There's no way to determine what month a coin was minted (with rare exceptions like a known design change and mint records to go with it). Just saying.

    I’m aware of that
I’m just stating that the time I’ve come across that has been very high in the beggining of the year

To me that’s a minor struck through. This is a major one.

    That’s a nice one.
Be on the look out for another post by me. I added an even bigger strike thru to my shield cent error collection. ;)
