Oh Perth Mint! My love for you grows stronger every day. I’ve never purchased a Perth Mint coin I didn’t like. It’s surprisingly small for 1 oz. Notice how much better their packaging is compared to the US Mint?
Yeah this tiger proof was cheaper than the 2021 Morgans which weren’t even proofs. In the end they’re both 1 oz of silver too. edit: Oh wait no the Morgan and Peace Dollars aren’t even a full troy oz!
The Perth mint cranks out my favorite bullion pieces. They usually come in fractions of an ounce too. Also, I love their high relief coins as well.
Yeah for sure! Perth Mint is underrated. They do a great job. Although I do think they should slow down and stop making so many different things that most people can’t afford to collect even half of it. - Emu series - Kookaburra series - Kangaroo series - Lunar series etc., Canada does a pretty good job too but I still think Perth is one of the best Mints in the world. Aussies don’t play around when it comes to coins! xD Although they did have milk spot issues for a long time.
Canada certainly churns out a lot of stuff too! Their ability to colorize, hologram, glow in the dark, etc. coins is astounding. They're crazy about their privy marks on bullion too. I know I'm unable to collect them all, but I like that I have a wider selection in bullion coins because I hate to collect just the same design with a different date on it like the American eagle was.
