Saw that one and I'll admit I did like the design but i'm cheap and not buying from the mint anymore hehe
Indeed it is......... While not totally infused with the design, I too purchased one a few days ago after thinking they were all sold out last August. Mine too was received only recently. My love of design is the reverse, as the Tom Mix obverse seems alien to what the founding fathers would have imagined........I do enjoy the reverse.
I thought the eagle head was fantastic. Honestly a masterwork... the obverse not so much but still well done
Wow, the detail on that eagle is amazing. This is the first time I blew it up and really looked at it. I'm in the camp that doesn't think a Mustang pony throwing off a western saddle has much to do with the founding of the nation, but it's not bad.
