    He looks a lot like Charles De Gaulle;) It should read CAROLVS III:D

    Indeed it should, if they had followed tradition.

    Tradition is sacred in my eyes. The British had done a good job in keeping their coin designs "traditional". Their Sovereigns have not change in 200 years/ still use Pistrucci design.

    Interesting they are using a proximate design to the 1960 Crown for the obverse.

    Anyone know if they're going to be doing a full gold set (5 pound, 2 pound, sovereign, half sovereign) for the coronation?

    No clue/ but I would bet my entire coin collection that they will produce a complete ( 5 2 1 1/2 1/4 Sovereign ) set. Maybe Charles will want Camilla on with him/ like William III and Mary I AV 5 Guineas 1694.
