Searching some recent coins I discovered four of these 2021's that have different stages of die cracks. 20211202_121432.jpg 20211202_121525.jpg 20211202_121458.jpg 20211202_122427.jpg 20211202_121702.jpg

    Awesome find !! @GARY R COYIER .
I'm a little lost today. Can you tell me simply what the difference between a Die Crack vs Die Break??

I am no expert like we have here, but I would say a die crack is caused by the die cracking under pressure and coins filling and causing a raised line or cud. Interior die breaks are often connected to die cracks. Hopefully someone with more expertise will comment.

No difference except the spelling or terminology.

A die crack occurs when a die, after being subjected to immense pressure during the minting process, cracks, causing a small gap in the die. If the damaged die continues to produce coins, the metal will fill into the crack, thus revealing a raised line of metal in the finished coin.

If a die breaks it usually starts with a crack. If a die cracks it’s in the beginning stages of breaking.
