2021 quarter AM in america

    The AM in america looks like a W is this a error when printing it?

    Hi, welcome to CT. There is a mark between the top of the A and the M giving an optical illusion. The image you see on the coin is produced when the die strikes a planchet. If there was a W it would be on all the thousands of coins struck by that die.

    Also.. Coins are not printed. There is no ink involved in the making of coins. They are minted, struck.
