Nice pre cud. The rim to rim die crack would have eventually broke the die face, causing a cud. https://www.error-ref.com/?s=pre+cud
Yea common single die cracks at certain spots on a coin going from the rim to the fields of a coin or where ever. but I’ll say this is not as common what’s seen here rim to rim die cracks like this pre cuds. You don’t see these when searching rolls a lot on newer coins die cracks yes but not stuff like this It’s good keep op “common” to me in coin collecting is actually rare. Hunting change and rolls it’s not like every 50 coins your pulling a pre cud or cud or stuff.
Steve I would be looking for the earlier die stages. IE one die crack going thru the rim. Further die stages where there might possibly be a bilevel die crack. Then the Cud. BI level die crack, or shattered die. https://www.error-ref.com/?s=Bi+level+die+crack Ovoid cud https://www.error-ref.com/?s=Ovoid+Cud
