I have looked for what this is in the references I received through coin talk post, I'm unsuccessful. Please tell me the name of the marks. The 2022 has a crack along the ear that goes into the cheek, among other marks
On the 2021, that looks like a small die chip by his mouth. On the 2022, that crack looks like a scrape on the coin. Die cracks will always be raised.
Appears to be a minor scratch developed some time after leaving the mint. or the record, the dime is my personal favorite denomination. That said, I've noticed that the strike quality has improved dramatically from around the early 2000's. This one being no exception.
