    Looks strange , some kind of deterioration ?? Notice the edge at the whole bottom half .

    Cool and thank you. I thought the deterioration on the side was maybe an edge or rim error where the base metal was struck to the outer part of the rim. But i am still very new to this hobby. I've started collecting Lincoln cents first and learning as much as can about the many different errors for the past 2 years. I've just recently started trying to learn more about the other denominations. I've a long ways to go.

    I like Lincoln cents but I magnetize towards Silver lately and Gold is nice to dream about .

    Well yes, agreed. Better profits in those precious metals compared to countless hours examining Lincoln cent after Lincoln cent to no avail towards a retirement. But the thrill is in the chase.
